Yomoko 2024: Our first real year on the road

From Idea to MVP (Minimum Viable Product)

The idea for Yomoko was born back in 2020. Three friends, a shared passion for motorcycles – and one big question: Why is it so hard to find like-minded riders for a tour?

Since then, we – Norman (Concept), Pat (Design), and Falk (Code) – have been working continuously on this platform alongside our full-time jobs. In 2023, things got serious: we started developing, tested early prototypes with the community, and in 2024 we went live with our MVP.

And since then? A lot has happened!

Our Highlights 2024

🚀 2,500 registered users – with just a few hundred euros advertising budget, but with lots of heart and referrals.

• 📈 Up to 14% active daily users in the season – a strong signal from the community.

• 💬 Let’s Ride Mode launched – spontaneous rides with like-minded individuals in your area.

• 🏍 Ride-outs with up to 30 participants – organized through Yomoko thanks to users like Ciaokakaoo.

• 🤝 First partnership with POLO Motorrad – our entry into the B2B world.

• 👥 20% female share and many pillion riders – we live diversity.

• 🌍 Launch in eight European countries – and we are continuing to grow.

What didn’t go quite as planned

Of course, not everything went smoothly. Our chat feature was buggy at launch – and that caused frustration. Revenue? None so far – everything still runs 100% on passion and donations. But: we listen. We learn. And we keep building.

Why we’re still going strong

Because we believe in what we’re building:

• A platform that connects like-minded individuals.

• A community that is not sorted by horsepower.

• A digital home for real adventures on two wheels.

What 2025 will bring – Kickstarter

Now that our MVP is live, it’s time to level up. 2025 will be all about group features – based on your feedback:

• 🛠 Crew Base Manager – for organized motorcycle groups with event calendar, group chats, tours tracking & challenges.

• 📸 Roadstory Tracker – your digital diary for tours, experiences, and memories.

• 🏆 Full Throttle Achievements – competitions with voting, prizes, and a stage for creative bikers.

And: Our Kickstarter campaign is ready – so we can make these features a reality together with you.

Thinking Long-Term – Growing Sustainably

Yomoko is more than just an app. We’re building a digital home for the motorcycle community – with the goal of creating a vibrant, scalable ecosystem that goes far beyond simple ride matchmaking.

Our principle is clear: we create real value for our community – and from that, we develop viable, sustainable business models. In close collaboration with our users, we continuously develop features that offer meaningful benefits – for the community and for potential industry partners alike.

Looking ahead, we want to empower especially active user groups – like those who regularly organize rides or manage crews – with tools to make their efforts more efficient and, if desired, also turn them into economic opportunities.

Because where passion, structure, and technology come together, true community is born – along with long-term potential for visibility, partnerships, and growth.
